Last month, Audi unveiled the second generation Audi A5 in Ingolstadt and announced that the all-new mid-size coupe will go on sale in Germany in Autumn 2016 (September-November). The second-gen A5 coupe will be tailed by the second-gen A5 Cabriolet and second-gen A5 Sportback. The next-gen A5 Cabriolet, as per a leaked internal document, is planned to be launched in North America in May 2017, meaning that first markets including Germany and others in Europe will likely get it in late-2016 or early-2017. The MLB-Evo platform based next-gen Audi A5 Cabriolet is expected to be around 50 kg lighter than the first generation Audi A5 Cabriolet. A speculative rendering from IAB’s automotive illustrator Shoeb Kalania previews the 2017 Audi A5 Cabriolet in near-production guise. Like the second-gen A5 Coupe, the second-gen A5 Cabriolet will likely be introduced along with its S performance variant. The adventure variant of the 2017 Chevrolet Onix (facelift) will be launched tomorrow in the country. The Chevrolet Onix Activ is powered by a 1.4-litre flex-fuel (petrol-ethanol) engine. The Chevrolet Onix Activ is distinguished with many exclusive features such as darkened headlamps featuring LED positioning lights, gloss black upper grille, black plastic cladding, exclusive 15-inch lightweight alloy wheels, roof rails, heightened suspension, “Jet Black” and “Kalahari” two-tone interior trim and appliques in orange colour on the dashboard and doors. The Chevrolet Onix Activ will be available in Red Carmine Color, Black Gold Black, Orange Burning, Switchblade Silver, Graphite Grey and White Summit exterior colours. It produces 110 hp and 170 Nm of torque in export-spec, and is available with a 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic gearbox. As stated above, the Baleno Boosterjet will be sold as the hotter Baleno RS variant, which will feature a mesh-pattern grille, sportier front bumper with a wider radiator intake and silver underlining, side skirts, black-painted alloy wheels, roof spoiler and a lower rear bumper. The Maruti Baleno RS will also be equipped with rear-disc brakes, reportedly. Maruti Super Carry launched in India at INR 4.01 Lakhs
Only launched in Ahmedabad, Ludhiana and Kolkata, for now. Maruti has launched its first ever commercial pick up in India – the Maruti Super Carry. For now it’s only launched in Ahmedabad, Ludhiana and Kolkata, and priced at INR 4.03 Lakhs, INR 4.11 Lakhs and INR 4.01 Lakhs (all ex-showroom) respectively. For India, the Maruti Super Carry is available only in a diesel variant. The Tata Ace-rival has a payload capacity of 750 kg. It measures 3.8 meters long and 1.56 meters wide, has a load deck measuring 2.18 x 1.49 meters, a ground clearance of 175 mm and a turning cycle of 8.6 meters diameter. The suspension system comprises of independent MacPherson struts and coil springs in the front and a rigid axle with leaf springs at the rear. It sources the 793 cc two-cylinder diesel engine from the Maruti Celerio, producing 24 KW (32 hp) at 3500 RPM and 75 Nm at 2000 RPM. It is paired to a 5-speed manual transmission and capable of fuel efficiency of 22.07 Km/L as well as a top speed of 80 Kmph. The Maruti Super Carry has a top-speed of 80 km/h.
